By solving Maxwell’s laws in 2D or 3D, we are able to predict:
- temporal and spatial distribution of electric and magnetic fields
- spatial dynamics of electric potential
- streamline analysis of current density
- transmitted power (resistance and inductance computations as a function of frequency)
By coupling heat transfer with electromagnetic phenomena, such processes like Induction Heating or Joule Effect can be optimized :
- optimization of the design of the inductor
- optimization of the geometry of electrode ovens
- minimization of electrical breakdown risk with high-voltage cables
